Reporting to the Business Unit Manager youll join a growing commercial team that combines Inside Sales and Business Development expertise. We work closely together to build strong customer relationships drive growth and deliver real value to our clients. As we expand youll play an active role in shaping the future direction and success of the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Business Development Identify pursue and close new business opportunities across the UK food sector
- Client Relationships Build deep trust-based partnerships with clients understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions
- Lead Generation Support Work alongside our call centre to support lead generation efforts helping to identify and qualify new opportunities through strategic outreach and prospecting
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with marketing operations and technical teams to craft compelling proposals and ensure seamless onboarding
- Market Innovation Bring fresh ideas challenge the status quo and help shape our go-to-market strategy
- Monitor market trends competitor activity and emerging opportunities to keep us one step ahead

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive with a proven track record in B2B sales within the food industry. You will recognize yourself in the following profile:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in B2B sales in the food industry
- A well-established network of contacts in food manufacturing retail or food safety sectors
- A team-first mindset you collaborate effectively communicate openly and celebrate successes together
- Strong executive presence with the confidence to present to senior stakeholders
- A strategic thinker who can translate customer needs into commercial opportunities
- Ability to provide the management team with market insights on competitor activities and emerging business opportunities
- Contribution to shaping the companys sales and marketing strategies including identifying target market sectors new opportunities and potential risks
- Agile and adaptable open to experimenting with new approaches to achieve results.
- A self-starter who thrives on autonomy and accountability
- Preferably a degree in a scientific field and experience working in a lean or agile commercial team
- A full clean driving licence and the willingness to travel extensively across the UK
