Payroll Specialist​/Analyst

• Prepare, document, distribute, and reconcile payroll accurately and timely each cycle
• Review the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government legislation affecting payroll
• Prepare or oversee required tax filings and other reporting
• Respond to and resolve inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting

• Typically, an Associate Degree (or equivalent) is required
• Minimum 4+ years of related experience in payroll or a similar role
• Ability to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role
• Knowledge of pay policies and government regulations
• Proficiency in resolving payroll-related inquiries and issues promptly

• Experience with automated payroll and attendance systems
• Familiarity with tax filings and payroll reporting
• Strong collaboration skills with HR, IT, and payroll teams
• Previous experience in a defense contracting environment
• Knowledge of auditing phases to ensure payroll accuracy
