By leveraging Upstart's AI marketplace, Upstart-powered banks and credit unions can have higher approval rates and lower loss rates across races, ages, and genders, while simultaneously delivering the exceptional digital-first lending experience their customers demand. More than 80% of borrowers are approved instantly, with zero documentation to upload.

Upstart is a digital-first company, which means that most Upstarters live and work anywhere in the United States. However, we also have offices in San Mateo, California;
Columbus, Ohio;
Austin, Texas; and New York City, NY (opening Summer 2026).

Most Upstarters join us because they connect with our mission of enabling access to effortless credit based on true risk. If you are energized by the impact you can make at Upstart, we’d love to hear from you!

The Team

Upstart’s Procurement team is a new function and we are in the process of building the team. How you’ll make an impact
  • First line of support for end users in the Procure-to-Order process. This involves guiding end users through intake, providing training, and fielding questions.
  • Monitor requests entered by users to ensure requests are moving towards closure, collaborating with SME groups on stale requests, communicating with end users and escalating to management where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures for all purchases
  • Maintain and support new and legacy data included in Procurement’s database
  • Process and manage POs through Procurement Systems
  • Report on Metrics (Monthly and Quarterly)
  • Create dashboards and swim lane process flow documentation
  • Conduct pricing negotiations for low risk purchases
  • Knowledge of contract terms to ensure terms and conditions are accurately reflected in POs
  • Supports the company’s Supplier Diversity initiatives and maintains database of qualified diverse suppliers
  • Manages Docusign requests for execution of agreements
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with legal, finance, operations and business units to ensure end‑to‑end alignment on sourcing and contracting activities
