Payroll Specialist – Murfreesboro TN

NHC Home Office is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our growing payroll team. The Payroll Specialist must have the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information discreetly; have a strong attention to detail and accuracy and have excellent communication and people skills.

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, reconciling, and auditing payroll records to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Since this position is essential to the success of NHC, we are seeking someone interested in building a long-term career with our organization with a strong work ethic, who has demonstrated job stability and a willingness to learn NHC’s general business practices.

Education and Experience
  • Candidates should possess strong payroll knowledge with at least 2 years of payroll experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, strong attention to detail, organizational skills and meeting multiple critical deadlines.
  • A knowledge of UKG software would be an advantage.
  • EXCEL knowledge is required.
Essential Job Functions
  • Review and analyze payroll data for accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct detailed audits of payroll records and processes to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies.
  • Interact with facility departmental managers regarding payroll issues.
  • Monitor and enforce payroll-related company policies and procedures.
  • Must ensure the confidentiality of all payroll related data and information.
  • Must meet all reporting requirements and deadlines.
