About

The Role

We are seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst to support a project for one of our federal clients. The analyst leads enterprise-level analysis to strengthen workforce productivity and collaboration ecosystems, including SharePoint and related platforms. Serving as a strategic liaison among senior stakeholders, this role translates complex business requirements into actionable specifications and guides development of practical, high-value solutions. The analyst may mentor or supervise other analysts and collaborate closely with development teams to ensure successful execution and adoption of enterprise collaboration technologies.

This is a fully remote position within the United States. The assignment is contingent upon contract award and is a three‑month temporary assignment (January–March 2026).

Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis with project stakeholders, plan execution of business analysis tasks, and communicate updates. Assess and continually improve business analysis practices.
  • Identify and define business needs and opportunities for improvement, develop business case, and determine solution approach and scope.
  • Develop advanced business analysis within a significant segment of the organization, ensuring measurable impact on effectiveness.
  • Determine requirements using workshops, interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, process descriptions, user stories, scenarios, task and workflow analysis, prototyping, focus groups, and use cases.
  • Establish technology contribution to business objectives, validate and justify needs, conduct feasibility studies, produce high‑level and detailed business models, prepare business cases, oversee development and implementation, considering change implications.
  • Evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, segment high‑level information into details, and abstract from low‑level information to general understanding.
  • Progressively elaborate requirements to sufficient detail, validate that they meet business needs, and verify compliance of other analysts’ work.
  • Document business, task, and workflow processes using industry‑standard methods, ensuring deliverables support solution design.
  • Assess solutions to ensure strategic goals are met, including review of internal designs, test cases and plans, manual procedures, acceptance criteria, defects, corrective actions, and organizational readiness. Develop metrics and KPIs aligned with desired outcomes.
  • Ensure stakeholders share a clear, consistent understanding of business and solution requirements, resolve conflicts, and secure formal approval from decision makers.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish technical vision and analyze trade‑offs.
  • Serve as liaison and resource to project managers, developers, and other team members throughout the process to clarify requirements, design, testing, and acceptance specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers on scoping and planning.
  • Guide senior management toward change acceptance and demonstrate business analysis value to the project community.

Required Skills and Experience
  • At least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Advanced experience with quality frameworks such as SDLC, Agile, ITIL, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Knowledge of project management practices.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations to senior stakeholders.
