About the Role

Director of Ecommerce & Fulfillment Solutions is a remote position that reports through the headquarters in Gallatin, TN. The primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the company’s efforts within the target market of Ecommerce and Fulfillment. This includes keeping up with trends, developing and supporting key supply relationships, and sales/business development efforts to support the company’s growth. The role may also support specific customer efforts in local markets under the support of a Vice President of Sales.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Develop plans and strategies, including product/service solutions, to support sales and business development.
  • Educate Sales and Sales Leadership on target market, products/solutions, and strategies to gain and grow new business or secure existing business.
  • Work with the Associated Integrated Solutions (AIS) team to expand and coordinate warehouse automation offerings.
  • Develop and maintain a product offering portfolio for the target market by curating offerings from current suppliers and identifying additional offerings.
  • Assist in identifying customers and prospects; coordinate efforts at approaching new prospects and developing strategies to create interest.
  • Participate in sales meetings regionally and nationally to present/educate on the target market, cultivating momentum with the sales team and potential strategies for specific customers/prospects.
  • Assist Marketing in developing content, collateral, value propositions, and campaigns to generate prospects and support sales.
  • Identify and attend appropriate trade shows to position API as a market leader; support generating interest and reinforcing position with key suppliers.
  • Support sales efforts by making joint calls with API Sales and Sales Leadership, providing subject matter expertise, analyzing current processes, recommending best practices, and supporting proposal development including ROI analysis.
  • Support and help manage sales efforts of specific customers as needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
  • 4+ years related experience as supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
