Account Manager – Client Development

Field Locker is seeking an experienced Account Manager – Client Development to take ownership of a portfolio of high-value clients (c. £2m gross revenue / £1m net revenue
).

These accounts span CATI sample delivery, online quant sample, face-to-face recruitment
, and qualitative fieldwork
.

This is a pivotal role in Field Locker’s next stage of growth. You’ll be responsible not only for safeguarding and growing existing relationships, but also for identifying opportunities to broaden our commercial footprint across MR agencies and end-client organisations.

Key Responsibilities Client Management & Development
  • Own and manage a portfolio of major accounts across MR agencies and end clients.
  • Maintain and grow revenue across CATI, online quant sample, face-to-face recruitment, and qualitative sampling services.
  • Conduct regular client QBRs, pipeline reviews, and project health checks to ensure strong retention and repeat business.
  • Identify account growth opportunities and proactively pitch new services, capabilities, and multi-method solutions.
  • Become the primary point of contact across all operational and commercial matters for these clients.
Commercial Delivery
  • Manage a revenue base of £2m gross (approx. £1m net revenue
    ), ensuring delivery against annual revenue and margin targets.
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, scopes of work, and pricing frameworks based on client needs.
  • Work closely with Project Management and the GM to ensure profitable and high-quality delivery.
Business Development
  • Expand Field Locker’s reach within legacy accounts through new contacts, new service lines, and multi-market opportunities.
  • Actively build relationships with stakeholders inside MRAs and end clients.
  • Contribute to pitches, RFPs, and onboarding of new projects.
Internal Collaboration
  • Provide clear client briefs and workload forecasts to operations teams.
  • Work closely with the GM on strategic planning, forecasting, and account prioritisation.
  • Support marketing efforts by identifying case study opportunities and contributing to thought-leadership topics.
Experience & Skills Required
  • 5+ years’ experience in market research
    , ideally within fieldwork, data collection, or sample provision.
  • Proven track record selling CATI sample into MR agencies (MRAs) and/or end clients.
  • Strong understanding of field operations, particularly CATI, f2f recruitment, and qualitative methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success managing and growing key accounts worth £1m+ revenue per year.
  • Strong commercial acumen — able to price, negotiate, and manage margin expectations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred

Experience working in or with:
o Cint, Pure Spectrum, or similar supply platforms
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, scaling environment with evolving processes.

Location

Field Locker’s operational hub is based in Hebden Bridge.
However, for the right candidate, we are open to flexible working arrangements, including hybrid or remote working, given the seniority and strategic importance of this role.
