Seeking a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills and a passion for data analysis to help drive meaningful change within this non-profit organization. As the Business Development and Lending Consultant for Community Futures, you will work closely with local entrepreneurs, assisting them with business development, planning, cash flow consulting, assessing and processing loan applications to help local businesses grow, pivot, or get off the ground.
About the Role, Benefits & Perks:- Full-time, year-round.
- 3-4 days per week, flexible hours.
- $38 – $43 per hour based on experience.
- Based in Whistler or Pemberton.
- Partially working from home and visiting client at their places of business.
- Full medical and dental coverage after 3 months.
- Bonuses based on performance targets – may translate to extra paid time or other incentives.
- You understand a wide range of business models, including small businesses (bonus if you’ve owned one!)
- You’re comfortable with financial statements and can explain numbers in a way that makes sense to others
- Previous experience in business consulting, financial analysis, or a related field is an asset.
- Director level experience is preferred.
- A personable and outgoing personality, able to connect with diverse individuals and build strong relationships.
- You’re a natural coach—patient, curious, and a good listener
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A keen interest in implementing system changes and utilizing AI and technology to enhance processes.
- Business Consulting:
Provide one-on-one guidance and coaching to entrepreneurs to help them achieve their business goals. - Business Plan and Cashflow Consulting:
Help entrepreneurs create robust business plans and optimize their cash flow. - Lending Decision Analysis:
Evaluate loan applications and make informed lending decisions. - Community Liaison:
Establish and maintain strong connections with local businesses and community partners. - Loan Portfolio Management:
Manage the existing loan portfolio effectively. - Ad Hoc Special Projects:
Take on exciting and innovative projects to support local economic development.
