Insight Consultancy is a small but busy digital marketing agency. We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a growing digital agency. This part-time role offers flexibility and the opportunity to take ownership of the company’s day-to-day bookkeeping processes.

A successful candidate will manage sales invoicing, purchase processing, reconciliations, payroll preparation, and HMRC administration. The work is steady and structured, so it suits someone who enjoys keeping systems organised and running smoothly.

The role would be suitable for anyone with at least 5 years of bookkeeping experience. This is the perfect role for someone who would like to make their mark on a small, but rapidly growing business.

We are based in Leicester, but our team works remotely from locations across the UK. The role is fully remote, but if you are based near or around Leicester, our office is open for you to work in if you wish.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage invoices in Xero and monitor payments through GoCardless.
  • Carry out credit control when payments fall overdue.
  • Process and code purchase invoices using Dext.
  • Complete weekly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare monthly payroll information and ensure staff timesheets are up to date.
  • Manage HMRC obligations.
  • Keep the cashflow sheet updated and support general financial administration.
Required skills and qualities
  • Proven bookkeeping experience within a small business.
  • Confident using Xero, Dext and online banking tools.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of UK bookkeeping and payroll basics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time.
  • Support brand strategy sessions and workshops using Miro, helping to define visual identity direction and messaging.
  • Conduct brand audits and develop updated brand concepts, logos, typography, and colour palettes.
  • Create and present branding proposals to clients, keeping within timelines and budgets.
