Job Description

As a Team Lead Mechanical Assembly, you’ll play a key role in leading and supporting our Mechanical Assembly team in the fast‑paced Operations department. You’ll oversee the assembly of high‑quality sub‑assemblies and productized applications while guiding the team to deliver work that meets our standards of quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. If you have strong mechanical intuition, enjoy hands‑on problem‑solving, and thrive in a leadership role on the shop floor, this role is a great opportunity to make an impact.

What

You’ll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the mechanical assembly team to meet production goals and uphold Vention’s high standards.
  • Assemble a variety of components, from simple to complex, including palletizers, conveyors, robot cells, machine‑tending applications, and safety enclosures based on engineering instructions.
  • Build and integrate automation components to complete custom automation designs.
  • Conduct quality control checks before shipping to ensure all products meet Vention's high standards.
  • Oversee and coordinate team workflows, ensuring tasks are assigned effectively to meet deadlines and priorities.
  • Pick and pack orders in accordance with Vention's quality standards.
  • Identify and report discrepancies or missing information to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support team members in troubleshooting mechanical or process‑related issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by optimizing integration and warehouse processes.
  • Update internal systems with assembly details to ensure accurate tracking.
Qualifications
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a fast‑paced work environment.
  • Technical diploma in mechanical engineering, robotics, or relevant hands‑on experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with using tools.
  • Experience with data entry or relevant administrative tasks.
  • Proactive problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to uphold customer satisfaction and product quality.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
