The Opportunity:
Contribute to the Sustainability Initiative at TJX
This impactful role will support TJX’s Environmental Sustainability program, with a focus on GHG inventory management, assurance, analytics, and reporting. This will include the collection of environmental sustainability data and metrics (including Scope 1, 2, & 3 emissions data, waste, and renewable energy) across multiple geographies, working with applicable systems and tools. Through this work, you will enable the achievement of strategic goals, ensure the completeness and accuracy of data, and support the development of TJX’s disclosures to various reporting frameworks.
This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week on‑site at our Framingham, MA location.
- Partner with key internal stakeholders, in Finance, Global Sourcing and Procurement, and Facilities across multiple geographies to facilitate the collection of complete and accurate activity data for the GHG inventory, to support disclosure to mandatory and voluntary reporting frameworks
- Transform and validate activity data, to facilitate the calculation of a complete GHG inventory within TJX’s Carbon accounting platform (incl. data analysis and execution of key controls)
- Support TJX’s third‑party verification of our environmental data, metrics, and disclosures through both direct contributions as well as coordination with stakeholders to manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables
- Identify process improvements, data gaps, new potential areas for enhancement or automation, and provide research on current and future reporting requirements
- Maintain key datasets, reports, and dashboards across multiple business systems to meet stakeholder needs with timely and accurate data and reporting
- Proficient communication and summarization of relevant metrics, data and processes to stakeholders and leadership
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years of experience in Corporate Sustainability leveraging a centralized data collection and accounting platform.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data visualization skills
- Knowledge of best practices for carbon accounting, GHG protocol, and methods, models and processes for collection and calculation of data
- Experience with Carbon Accounting Software
- Experience managing or supporting a corporate GHG inventory process, GHG audit experience a plus
- Ability to simultaneously manage time and priorities on multiple, time‑sensitive projects
- Ability to work in ambiguous situations with a solution‑oriented mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build effective working relationships with internal partners in a constantly evolving environment
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft office applications including advanced Excel, Power BI, or other visualization tools a plus

This position has a starting salary range of $74,500.00 to $95,000.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
