What You’ll Do

Are you passionate about making a difference in people’s lives? As an Associate Client Relationship Consultant, you’ll play a key role in driving business success while shaping your own earning potential. This position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, deliver exceptional service, and directly influence both client outcomes and your compensation. Once you’ve secured your insurance license and completed a minimum of 9+ months of training at a regional training center, here’s what you’ll do:

  • Efficiently market Group Life, Disability, Dental, Vision, and Critical Illness solutions through financial advisors (i.e., brokers) for employer groups ranging from 3 to 499 employees.
  • Enhance networks, relationships, and Principal Financial Group’s local brand through active participation in associations, industry groups, advisor events, etc.
  • Grow and retain a block of group clients in a region through expert renewal analysis and negotiation, collaboratively selling additional products and services, enrolling clients in employer‑paid and voluntary products, and assisting brokers and employer groups with sophisticated service issues.
Who You Are
  • BS or BA degree or 8 years of equivalent experience.
  • 0+ years of professional experience.
  • Life & Health insurance license required within 90 days of hire with appointment in the state of residence.
  • Excellent persuasion, organizational, problem‑solving, decision‑making, time‑management, presentation, listening, oral and written communication skills, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced math skills required with basic skills related to graphs, symbols, equations, etc.
  • Detail‑oriented accuracy and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • May spend a minimum of 15‑25% of time out of the office in face‑to‑face contact with customers and brokers, including overnight stays.
Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non‑sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non‑Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) – $24.52 – $36.49 / hour

Time Off Program

Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non‑exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short‑term illness.

This position will either support our Addison, TX or Houston, TX sales office, depending on where it is filled.

Work Environment

This role offers the ability for a hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek) work arrangements. Management reserves the right to adjust the days required in office.
