** The Compliance Analyst provides leadership and subject matter expertise on all escalated Compliance/Legal projects to efficiently and effectively minimize adverse actions by working closely with AHA’s Legal Department, outside Counsel, and Housing Choice Operations Department.

As a role model for the team, the Compliance Analyst provides excellent customer service to clients; adheres to department and agency protocols; and completes all tasks within required timelines. This individual seeks continuous quality improvement methods utilizing information technology solutions, and embraces innovation and creativity in developing and implementing unique programmatic solutions allowed under the agency’s Moving to Work Initiative (MTW).The

Compliance Analyst performs a variety of duties administering the Housing Choice Voucher Program.  These include (but are not limited to): client interviews, determinations of eligibility and Participant compliance including violations of Family Obligations, criminal and sexual offender offenses and all other Participant violations, building case files, reports terminations on a monthly basis to Manager of Compliance for tracking, , and prompt completions of all data processing and analysis within the Compliance Department

A Compliance Analyst is a strong individual contributor with extensive direct subject matter knowledge and successful track record in meeting all operational performance indicators as a Specialist; demonstrated ability to lead a project team providing motivation and collaboration among team members; excellent customer service provider; requires minimal direction and oversight; and is a creative problem solver with excellent personal organizational and planning skills.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Independently manages special projects as assigned by developing project plans, identifying and collaborating with other team members, interfacing with other departments, offering guidance to Participants and Landlords and providing thoughtful solutions and recommendations to Housing Choice management.  Also, responsible for providing oversight of appropriate implementation of corrective actions.
* Receives reports of program fraud and abuse from Departments, reviews recommended actions, conducts additional research and investigation as needed and finalizes proposed program termination actions.
* Accepts, schedules and conducts file reviews of Participant and Landlord files with outside Legal entities. Reviews legal files for completeness and accuracy prior to scheduled Legal Aid review.
* Prepares summary analysis and file review report in preparation for Legal Counsel review and use in litigation and hearings.
* Provide guidance on legal and regulatory requirements, including identifying risk factors and advising management on effectively monitoring, detecting and resolving such issues within Housing Choice.
* Attends Court as Subject Matter Expert/Witness to Housing Choice Operations processes as required.
* Maintains legal issues log to ensure effective resolution and closure of all matters referred to the Legal department.
* Conducts escalated quality assurance reviews of Participant and Landlord files.
* Interfaces directly with program Participants and/or Landlords as needed to conduct interviews; collect paperwork; conduct termination hearings; and resolves issues, complaints or problems.
* Provides excellent direct customer service to all clients and landlords participating in the Housing Choice Voucher Program; respond to inquiries and requests from clients, landlords and the general public.
* Documents all tasks completed in the appropriate client file in computer system; maintains documentation for all transactions in a neat and organized manner in accordance with established file requirements.
