At Max Lite, our vision is to transform the way people experience light. We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our rapidly growing company and drive sales in the Mid-Atlantic Region, supporting our revenue growth in PA, MD, NJ, NY (NYC & LI).
As Regional Sales Manager , you will lead sales strategy and execution across your assigned region, overseeing all employees and managing agency and distributor partnerships. You will drive new business development to expand Max Lite’s revenue and deliver innovative, energy-efficient solutions to our customers. Your industry expertise and commitment to service will help you grow new accounts, strengthen existing relationships, and work closely with our dedicated internal teams.
Key
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage key relationships across distribution chains, independents, corporate accounts, end users, electrical contractors, ESCOs, LMCs, lighting manufacturers’ RSMs, and representative firms within assigned regions.
- Lead and develop employee and sales representative networks, overseeing product training, pricing, quoting, and adaptation to product changes; identify new business opportunities and emerging markets.
- Direct agent relationships and regularly evaluate performance, providing mentorship and guidance on priorities, scheduling, negotiations, and strategic direction.
- Deliver daily support and direction to maximize sales volume across all distribution channels for Max Lite products and services.
- Upgrade agency partnerships as needed to align with strategic business objectives and growth targets.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with customer and vendor personnel, including purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, and management teams.
- Collaborate with project, design/build, and energy teams at key distributors and ESCOs to drive project pipeline development and LED business growth.
- Track and manage project submissions, following up with teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
- Conduct competitor analysis to assess Max Lite’s market position and inform strategic decision-making.
- Partner with Marketing & Communications to develop and execute sales promotions with distributor partners to drive regional sales growth.
- Oversee and control all regional sales expenses, including promotional, operating, and travel costs.
- Provide timely communication to management on sales activities, competitor intelligence, lost business, and other key developments through regular reporting.
- Represent Max Lite at national and regional trade shows as needed, showcasing the company’s portfolio.
- Collaborate with the utility team to leverage rebate programs and integrate them into Max Lite product offerings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with minimal supervision.

Requirements
What We Look For:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- 5+ years’ experience with demonstrated track record of success
- Advanced level of knowledge in the lighting industry strongly preferred
- Technical skills sufficient to understand process & product specification
- Innovative mindset to help analyze and improve work processes
- Ability to manage detail on multiple projects simultaneously; expert problem solver
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer technologies
- Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Working Conditions &
Physical Requirements:
- This is a remote position with at least 80% of the time traveling.

- Must be able to drive long distances (2+ hours)
