Role OverviewThe Beneficiary Outreach Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and success of outreach activities focused on Social Security beneficiaries. This role leads and supervises a team of outreach specialists who engage beneficiaries through multiple channels—calls, emails, events, and community programs—to increase awareness and participation in Social Security benefits and work incentive programs.
Job Responsibilities and Duties- Supervise and coordinate day‑to‑day activities of outreach staff, providing ongoing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of beneficiary outreach campaigns, community events, and engagement initiatives.
- Ensure outreach team meets or exceeds established goals for beneficiary contact, engagement, and satisfaction.
- Develop training materials and deliver coaching to new and existing outreach staff on SSA programs, outreach techniques, and compliance requirements.
- Act as the escalation point for complex or sensitive beneficiary inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution in line with agency policies.
- Review outreach documentation, reports, and data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor team performance metrics, prepare regular outreach activity reports, and present results to management.
- Ensure compliance with SSA, privacy, and confidentiality standards in all outreach activities and communications.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and enhanced beneficiary engagement.
- Collaborate with program management, Help Line teams, and community partners to coordinate seamless service and outreach strategies.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of program changes, policies, and outreach best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience in outreach, public relations, customer service, or a related field, or High school diploma or GED with 6–8 years of directly related experience in outreach, customer service, or program coordination.
- Experience supervising or leading teams engaged in outreach, customer engagement, marketing, or social services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to train, motivate, and guide team members.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and analyze outreach campaigns or community engagement efforts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with CRM, outreach tracking, or case management systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven problem‑solving abilities and experience handling escalated or sensitive beneficiary contacts.
- Commitment to maintaining beneficiary privacy, security, and compliance with SSA standards.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and diverse beneficiary populations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an SSA Public Trust Clearance.
