Proposal Specialist – ABB
Join ABB’s Measurement & Analytics (PAMA) division. This role supports the Analytical Product business line during the proposal process. You will be a key resource to customers and the sales team, preparing proposal components, determining cost factors, commercial agreements, risk assessments, sales strategies and final documentation.
Work ModelPreferred onsite at Houston, TX (Westchase) or Bartlesville, OK. Remote home‑office within the United States is also available.
Responsibilities- Develop and organize proposal components for inquiries from U.S. customers, channels and the sales team regarding ABB products, systems and applications.
- Perform analytic and situational assessments to determine business requirements and customer needs, addressing complex inquiries.
- Real‑time manage new opportunity and proposal data points, driving business intelligence for scope, terms, costs and profitability.
- Initiate actions to resolve variable situations, recommend and implement measures to achieve customer satisfaction and meet business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience is preferred; high school diploma with 5+ years of experience is required.
- Demonstrated track record in proposal/quotation creation and generating actionable, thorough documentation.
- Enhanced knowledge of pricing scenarios and cost strategies, with an understanding of the impact to the business and customers.
- Strong skill in recognizing, organizing and communicating components needed for success, with ownership, drive and pride in quality and integrity of work. Ability to identify and resolve complex problems spanning multiple groups and personalities.
- Knowledge of product solutions, specifically applicability/value for customers, with awareness of business profitability.
- Fluent English, both written and oral.
- Must already have work authorization that permits permanent U.S. employment.
Expected annual salary range: $79,800 – $127,680.
