Interviews are expected to be held between 16 and 22 April 2026
This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements
Do you have excellent planning, administration and organisation skills and a high level of attention to detail? Are you looking for a role that combines these with excellent communication skills, to help us make fair and impartial casework decisions for our students?
The Student Cases team is seeking a Student Cases Officer to cover a period of family leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and handling of student casework, triaging and monitoring the progress of casework to ensure procedural timescales are met, and acting as the first point of contact for students and staff involved in casework. This will include student disciplinary casework, which involves bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct cases.
You will work closely with all members of the Student Cases team, as well as liaising with students, supporters, Schools, committees, the Student Information Service and Leeds University Union to support a cross-institution approach to casework resolution.
The role also includes committee servicing, providing standard and ad-hoc statistics for reporting and circulation, and maintaining the Student Cases website and intranet pages. As well as administration experience and excellent organisational and communication skills, you will need excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office, and a commitment to the delivery of an exceptional student experience. Experience of Banner or a similar system, and experience of developing and improving procedures or administrative systems, are desirable.
The team currently works one to three days a week on campus (to include Thursdays), and outside of this there are opportunities for flexible working that are adaptable to your circumstances.
If you are looking for a role that will enable you to develop your administrative and organisational skills as part of a supportive team, we would love to hear from you.
Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role may only be suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants if they are eligible for salary concessions. For more information please visit:
