Job Overview

"This post is open to employees of the five LAASP organisations. As part of your application, you will be asked to confirm that you are a current employee of The Clatterbridge Centre, Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, Liverpool University Hospitals, Liverpool Women's Hospital or The Walton Centre."

Main Duties

This job involves the day‑to‑day running of a medical records team, booking patients for outpatient and inpatient clinics, health records library functions, and all general administration duties. The role requires an organised, motivated individual who works well within a team and as an individual.

  • Registration and documentation of new patients.
  • Reception duties.
  • Requesting/locating case notes from the filing system as required.
  • Maintenance of appointment system.
  • Maintenance of daily clinical work sheets.
  • Maintenance of waiting lists.
  • Provision of statistical information for Managers as required.
  • Care and repair of case note folders.
  • Maintenance of accurate tracker system of case histories.
Person Specification Qualifications
  • 5 GCSE's A-C /NVQ 2 or equivalent
Experience
  • Current employee of a LAASP organisation
  • Experience in a clerical post (Desirable)
Skills
  • Good communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and with patients.
  • IT skills / relevant keyboard experience.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and liaise with colleagues to ensure effective working.
Other
  • Willingness to accept that flexibility is required to meet the changing needs of the NHS.

Note:

Under current Home Office Immigration Rules we are currently unable to offer right to work visa sponsorship for Band 2 and 3 roles with a salary of less than £25,000 pa as they do not meet the UK Visas & Immigration criteria.
