Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Information Researcher in the service improvement team that is responsible for identifying issues impacting on the efficiency and effectiveness of Force and for facilitating improvement.
Responsibilities- Produce daily management information in an accurate and timely manner to inform Chief Officers, and Departmental and LPA staff of current performance.
- Produce monthly, quarterly and annual returns to the Home Office, Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS) and other agencies.
- Ensure the efficient and effective provision of management information internally and externally.
- Interrogate force databases to provide management and other statistical information to internal and external customers either on a regular basis or in response to an ad‑hoc enquiry.
- Collate and assess the data or statistics and produce written reports as appropriate.
- Assess each request to ensure the data provided is in accordance with the Force’s statutory obligations and any information sharing protocol.
- Develop and maintain reports to ensure that information can be extracted from Force systems as efficiently and as effectively as possible, continuously developing your own technical skills and understanding of the organisation.
- Provide management and other statistical information to strict deadlines, e.g., statutory deadlines imposed by the Freedom of Information Act, the ADR deadlines required by the Home Office or ad‑hoc deadlines that arise to provide information to the press.
- Assist with the audit of key data sets required for the Home Office improving the quality of the data.
