DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 2, you will be responsible for directing the compliance program to ensure that Pennsylvania’s employers have the required workers’ compensation insurance needed to protect workers injured in the course and scope of employment. Your duties will include developing, maintaining and implementing policies and procedures relating to compliance investigation activities, criminal prosecutions, 1610's and stop work orders. This position identifies employers who fail to ensure their workers’ compensation liabilities, makes referrals to the Office of Chief Counsel and coordinates the collection of funds.

Additional duties involve preparing reports for executive staff and in response to legislative inquiries, speaking at various public events on compliance requirements, and overseeing the development and delivery of training materials and seminars for internal and external stakeholders relating to compliance processes. You will have the opportunity to plan, organize, and direct the work of investigative, collections, outreach, and clerical personnel.

WORK SCHEDULE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch
  • Telework:
    You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. The expectation will be that employees will be onsite two days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

    The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
  • One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements
  • This particular position requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
