The salary range for this position is $45,877.84 to $69,484.11 for Schedule A, and $45,877.84 to $62,203.88 for Schedule
B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to August 21, 2014, are considered Schedule
A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after August 21, 2014, are considered Schedule

The New Jersey Judiciary, Office of Attorney Ethics (OAE) is seeking a highly organized individual with excellent customer service, communication, time management, and technical skills. Under the general direction of the Statewide Fee Arbitration Coordinator, the selected candidate will perform a multitude of tasks, both collaboratively and independently within the Fee Arbitration Unit to support and organize the Fee Arbitration Program.

The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Example of Duties- Answer questions posed by clients, attorneys and volunteers on case status, fee arbitration policy, and related inquiries
- Organize and compile current and historical fee arbitration data for documents and reports
- Establish and maintain fee arbitration recordkeeping and case tracking
- Prepare legal documents pertaining to enforcement and appeal of fee arbitration determinations for supervisory attorney review
- Coordinating with Statewide Fee Arbitration Coordinator in the preparation of correspondence
- Assisting in the day-to-day operation of the Fee Arbitration Program and in the monitoring of open cases
- Scanning documents into online case management program(s)
- Provide support to District Fee Committee Secretaries, Officers and Volunteers
- Assisting in compilation of applications for annual recruitment and retention of volunteers
- Coordinate as requested with scheduling of interpreters for fee arbitration hearings
- Other duties as assigned
Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
QualificationsOne year of experience performing a variety of clerical and support services to include keyboarding and one or more of the following: document or information processing, handling payments for fees, recording monies received, reconciling balances or accounts and/or scheduling meetings or appointments.
Ability to use a keyboard, no minimum speed.
