No remote work is available during probation. Remote work is available for a portion of most weeks and determined by team schedules.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school and one year of clerical or customer service experience.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Clerical or customer service experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Substitution of Education for Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate or bachelor's degree may substitute for the required experience.
Necessary Special Qualifications: Applicants for this class may be required to possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license and personal vehicle insurance.
Examination Method: Education and Experience, 100%, for Preferred Service positions.
Overview
Under immediate supervision, learns to process incoming documents and payments of routine difficulty. This is the entry level class in the Revenue Processing Data Spec series. An employee in this class learns to process incoming mail, review documents and payments for accuracy and timeliness, scan documents and payments, and complete data entry into various systems. This class differs from the Revenue Processing Data Sp 2
** in that an incumbent of the latter performs these duties under general supervision.
An applicant appointed to this flexibly staffed class will be reclassified to the next higher class in the series after successful completion of a mandatory one-year training period; inadequate or marginal performance during the training period will result in automatic demotion or termination.
