What you'll doThe Project Coordinator Intern will provide proactive project and administrative support to the IT Governance and Compliance Director. You will assist in coordinating key activities, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple priorities in a proactive and energetic manner. Success in this role requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build positive relationships across all business functions.
The day-to-day- Project Administration:
Assist with general project administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations - Budget & Procurement Support:
Manage project codes and purchase orders for assigned projects, Liaise with Project Managers and delivery leads to confirm budget requirements - Data Management & Reporting:
Capture, summarize, and present data related to project delivery, contribute insights to support broader strategy development
Internship Program Details:
- Part-time (~15–20 hours/week) during the Spring work term (May-August)
- Hybrid work model: combination of office and remote work.
* We are looking for someone within commutable distance from the Mount Pearl office*
Education Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Business Communications or a related field
Additional requirements:
- Organizational Skills – Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Communication Skills – Strong written and verbal communication for interacting with team members and stakeholders at all levels
- Attention to Detail – Accuracy in handling data, scheduling, and documentation.
- Technical Proficiency – Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint)
- Analytical Ability – Skilled at capturing, summarizing, and presenting data
- Positive, Proactive Attitude – Adaptable, eager to learn, and ready to take initiative
- Commutable distance to Mount Pearl office
- Basic understanding of project management principles and tools
- Canadian citizenship required
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Basic writing skills and willingness to learn
- Effective time management
