Position Summary

Bryn Mawr Online seeks an outgoing, friendly, and highly organized Part-Time Admissions Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for prospective students and families. This role is essential in delivering a personalized, responsive, and professional admissions experience that supports families throughout the inquiry and application process and reflects Bryn Mawr’s mission and values.

While much of the work may be completed remotely, this position requires candidates to be local to the Baltimore, Maryland area, as there will be regular and periodic expectations to work on campus for meetings, admissions events, and other school-related needs. The ideal candidate is a true people person who thrives in both virtual and in-person interactions and enjoys providing individualized guidance and support to families exploring Bryn Mawr Online.

Key Responsibilities

Front-Line Admissions and Family Engagement:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective families via email, phone, virtual meetings, and occasional in-person interactions.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to admissions inquiries, providing accurate, clear, and welcoming information about programs, enrollment requirements, timelines, and next steps.
  • In partnership with the Head of Bryn Mawr Online, build rapport with prospective families and deliver a personalized admissions experience that helps families feel informed, supported, and valued.
  • Schedule and coordinate virtual shadow visits, interviews, and information sessions.

Admissions Process Support:

  • Manage and track inquiries, applications, and admissions records using the school’s admissions database.
  • Monitor application progress and proactively follow up with families regarding missing materials, deadlines, or required steps.
  • Prepare and distribute digital admissions materials and routine admissions communications.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential electronic admissions files.

Administrative and Team Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the Bryn Mawr Online admissions team, including data entry, document management, and correspondence.
  • Assist with preparing basic admissions reports and tracking enrollment data.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to ensure smooth admissions, enrollment, and onboarding processes.
  • Participate in team meetings, including those held on campus as needed.

Virtual & On-Campus Events:

  • Support planning and execution of virtual admissions events such as open houses, webinars, and information sessions.
  • Assist with select on-campus admissions events, including setup, family hospitality, and follow-up communications for Bryn Mawr Online.
  • Track registrations, manage event communications, and support post-event outreach.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Contribute ideas to improve admissions workflows, systems, and family communications.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head of The Bryn Mawr Online School.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma required;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in admissions, customer service, administrative support, or family-facing roles preferred.
  • Must be local to the Baltimore, Maryland area and able to work on campus as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a warm, outgoing, and professional demeanor.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfortable using technology, including email, video conferencing platforms, admissions databases, and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while remaining responsive and collaborative.
