Job Description

The University of Florida is seeking an Admissions Officer I to support UF Online Enrollment Services in advancing the university’s recruitment and enrollment goals. In this role, you will process applications, review academic credentials, render admissions decisions, and communicate with applicants and academic units to ensure a smooth and accurate admissions experience.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To Application Processing
  • Perform initial processing of applications for UF Online programs.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of majors, degree programs, and entry levels to ensure timely review.
  • Evaluate and verify submitted documentation to determine file completeness.
  • Review immigration documents and apply state regulations related to Florida Residency for Tuition Purposes.
  • Ensure applications progress accurately through early processing stages.
File Completion & Credential Review
  • Develop working knowledge of admissions requirements across all entry levels.
  • Sort, screen, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail (electronic and physical).
  • Manage and maintain application files and ensure proper movement through the admissions workflow.
  • Communicate with applicants and departments regarding missing credentials, residency documentation, test scores, and transcripts.
  • Support front‑line staff by assisting with inquiries received via phone or email.
  • Participate in cross‑functional events, admissions committees, Q&A sessions, and contribute to training/resource development as needed.
Admissions File Review
  • Review applications using both criteria‑based and holistic evaluation approaches.
  • Calculate high school and college GPAs; assess prerequisite coursework.
  • Apply professional judgment to identify academic concerns and elevate cases as required.
  • Render admissions decisions for pre‑approved programs and refer select cases to colleges.
  • Meet or exceed weekly application review metrics while working independently and accurately interpreting institutional policies.
Other Duties
  • Manage and update application data in Slate and Campus Solutions.
  • Reconcile data between systems to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  • Provide occasional assistance to other sections or participate in recruitment or professional development travel.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support office operations.
Expected Salary

$43,888 annually

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
