Position: Clerical Short-Term Employee Pool

Overview

Flexible schedule, up to 19 hours per week. We need reliable, accurate, detail-oriented individuals who can work with minimal supervision after training.

Responsibilities

Positions assist department staff with paperwork, data entry, phone calls, faxing, filing, and other clerical functions as assigned.

Qualifications and

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications vary by department. Prior responsible administrative support experience is desired. Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel is desired.

Short-Term Employee Information

SHORT-TERM EMPLOYEES are employees who assist the office, department or classroom on a temporary basis and are not currently hired as College Assistants. The employee cannot work in excess of 1000 hours or 180 days in a fiscal year. The range for this classification depends on the level of duty performed.   • Successful completion of background fingerprint clearance, TB screening, physical abilities test (if applicable to position).
  • Proof of Eligibility to work in the United States and sign loyalty oath per government codes .
  • Meeting eligibility requirements under CalPERS or CalSTRS if you are a current or former member.
  • Board of Trustees approval.
