Description
The Family Lifestyle Program (FLiP) is a grant-funded initiative that builds clinical–community partnerships to improve access to food, nutrition, and physical activity resources for families experiencing food insecurity or diet-related chronic disease. FLiP includes a Patient Navigator (PN) Program and FLiPRx Produce Prescription intervention.
Responsibilities- Work remotely to support PN volunteers, referred families, faculty leadership, and community partners.
- Manage referrals in REDCap and Mosio (HIPAA‑compliant platforms) and ensure families are contacted within one week.
- Provide direct navigation (~8 hrs/week).
- Update resource guides, support bi‑annual volunteer trainings, send monthly reports, and maintain partner workflows.
- Assist staff in the daily execution of program tasks and projects, providing administrative support to the Program Manager and Program Coordinator.
- Maintain office files, complete purchase and reimbursement requests, and manage financial records.
- Research funding prospects, draft communications with prospective donors, and manage logistics for fundraising events.
- Assist with special projects related to program goals and mission, including coordinating volunteer efforts.
- Occasionally maintain statistics regarding program performance and research databases in compliance with IRB requirements.
- Maintain office files.

- Provide excellent customer service to the clinical team, patient families, and referring physicians.
- Help families navigate the complex hospital system and coordinate care.
- Act as an advocate for patients and families, facilitating service delivery and removing barriers to care.
- Speak up when team members exhibit unsafe behavior or performance.
- Continuously validate and verify information needed for decision making or documentation.
- Stop in the face of uncertainty and take time to resolve the situation.
- Demonstrate accurate, clear, and timely verbal and written communication.
- Actively promote safety for patients, families, visitors, and co‑workers.
- Attend carefully to important details, practicing Stop, Think, Act, and Review to self‑check behavior and performance.
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Minimum Work Experience1 year performing administrative tasks (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Access.
- Ability to produce quality reports under tight deadlines.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a busy clinic environment.
- Web design and desktop publishing skills a plus.
- Anticipate and respond to customer needs; follow up until needs are met.
- Demonstrate collaborative and respectful behavior.
