The ideal candidate for the Insurance Operations Associate role is an individual who is pro-active, independent, and well-organized with the ability to interface well with all clients and colleagues. This individual will handle day-to-day operational tasks related to insurance policies, including case management for new business applications, as well as beneficiary, billing and contact information updates. This individual will support our clients with insurance-related questions and policy management, keep our CRM system updated, prepare materials for client meetings, and ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
The role involves substantial administrative and clerical tasks and is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who excels at taking initiative, advocating for clients, and providing outstanding follow-through in every engagement. This individual will report to the Director of Insurance Operations and work closely with all C 3 Wealth Management operations team members, as well as with the home office and policy holder service teams at Northwestern Mutual.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contact clients to communicate updates, request information, complete onboarding calls, schedule medical exams, and schedule onboarding calls
- Arrange medical exams necessary for underwriting
- Prepare and review insurance applications, conversions, and policy changes for completeness and accuracy
- Prepare IFLs and other illustrations in preparation for client meetings
- Input data and gather information in preparation for client meetings/insurance applications
- Provide current status and account values for non-securities related accounts
- Process incoming non-securities related insurance service requests from clients (address changes, bank account change information, loan request, ISA service inquiries, etc.)
- Contact and advise clients regarding late payments
- Answer and direct telephone calls as appropriate
- Experience in administrative support or customer service
- State health and life licensed (or gain licensing within 60 days of employment)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry and information retrieval software
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and on a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Continue insurance education through schools, academies, licenses, registrations and designations
