THE OPPORTUNITY
We are partnering with one of Oxford’s most prestigious private schools to appoint an exceptional Personal Assistant to support the Bursar - the school’s senior operational and financial leader (equivalent to a CFO / COO in the corporate world).
This is a high-trust, high-visibility role at the heart of a historic and highly respected institution, supporting a senior leader who is responsible for the financial, operational and commercial running of the school. THE ROLEYou will provide full Personal Assistant support to the Bursar, acting as their trusted administrative partner and ensuring their office runs with structure, clarity and professionalism.
Key elements include:
- Complex diary and meeting management
- Preparation of agendas, minutes, briefings and papers
- Acting as gatekeeper/enabler and first point of contact
- Managing correspondence, emails and confidential documents
- Coordinating meetings, visitors and logistics
- Producing reports, spreadsheets and presentations
- Supporting committee and governance-style meetings
- Handling sensitive financial and parental enquiries with discretion
- Working closely with other PAs and departments across the school
This is a role for someone who enjoys being one step ahead, takes pride in organisation and enjoys supporting a senior leader in a busy, people-focused environment.
ABOUT YOUYou are a confident, organised and emotionally intelligent Personal Assistant who enjoys being relied upon and trusted.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in a PA or senior administrative role
- Strong diary management, organisation and prioritisation skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders
- Good Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint capability
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- A proactive, calm and solutions-focused approach
