Legal Assistant – Emerging Companies
Provide strategic legal support within a large-scale firm in a hybrid work environment, specializing in emerging and high-growth companies. Bilingualism required, with a wide range of administrative and legal secretarial responsibilities, serving both national and international clients.
What is in it for you:

• Permanent, full-time position: 35 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday, with start times at 8:30 am or 9:00 am, based on preference.
• Hybrid work model: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote. Wednesdays are mandatory in-office; the other 2 office days are flexible.

Responsibilities:Administrative and legal secretarial support:
• Drafting, proofreading, and formatting legal and professional documents (correspondence, agreements, procedures, articles, etc.).
• Transcription of content from recordings, handwritten notes, and voicemail messages.
• Document comparison using Workshare.
• Physical and electronic filing of emails and legal documents.
• Management of calendars, phone calls, correspondence, and business travel.
• Booking meeting rooms, meals, conferences, and coordinating meeting logistics.
• Follow-up on seminar and conference participation requests, including registrations, budget tracking, PowerPoint documentation, receipt collection, and expense reimbursement processing.
File management and technological tools:
• Opening files, including conflict search requests in NBI.
• Updating and researching information in internal systems (One Place, Intranet, MCDM).
• Filing and archiving inactive files.
What you will need to succeed:
• Diploma in legal secretarial studies, legal technology, or a related field.
• 7 years of experience in a similar role within a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Proficiency with office tools and specialized software:
Outlook, One Place, Workshare, Intranet, etc.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and administrative rigor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, required for drafting, revising, and transcribing documents in both languages, as well as for effectively interacting with clients and colleagues across Canada and internationally.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
