The New Jersey Judiciary – Essex Vicinage is seeking a detailed oriented professional to work as an Administrative Specialist 2 in the Civil Division. Under the general direction of the Division Manager and Assistant Division Manager, the successful candidate will provide human resources support for unit or agency; recommend purchases of equipment, materials or supplies; provide technical advice to staff, peers and management;
draft correspondence, reports or proposals; recommend improvements in operating procedures, work procedures or administrative practices; compile statistical data on workload volume, backlog and unit expenditures; coordinate report collection activities; recommend changes to organization structure and any other duties as necessary.

The salary range for this position is $52,593.71 to $86,166.03 for Schedule A, and $52,593.71 to $81,857.73 for Schedule
B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule
A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule
B.
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to two (2) days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
NOTE: Submission of a cover letter is preferred but not required.
EducationGraduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
SubstitutionApplicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one (1) year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate's degree and two (2) years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Driver's LicenseAppointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
