The role:We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented AP/AR Support Specialist to join our team! You’ll provide administrative and operational support to our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
This is a great opportunity for a proactive mult-tasker who wants to build a financial or accounting career in the property management industry.
What you’ll do:- Provide administrative support to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams. Monitor incoming mail and email inboxes for invoices and route them appropriately for processing.
- Assist with processing bill payments for smaller dollar amounts (under $500) and ACH payments following established procedures.
- Assist with vendor payment support, including processing, organizing, and uploading vendor invoices.
- Support check deposit processing, including data entry and documentation.
- Assist with payment processing and basic reporting related to internal programs and mailer expenses.
- Perform routine audits and reviews of small-balance invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with tracking and auditing physical access items such as keys, fobs, and remotes to ensure records are accurate.
- Provide phone coverage as needed, including answering and routing calls.
- Assist with tracking and organizing Certificates of Insurance.
- Complete additional administrative and accounting support tasks as assigned.
- Prior financial or accounting experience is helpful but not required.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities at once.
- Must be extremely detail-oriented with the ability to follow processes accurately.
- First 6 months (training period): In-office 5 days per week.
- After 6 months: Eligible for up to 3 work-from-home days per week.
