Overview
Library Info Specialist 3 (Requisition 35479) will provide exceptional customer, circulation, and reference/information services at Zimmerman Library, ensuring a safe, productive learning environment for the campus community. The position is part of the Access Services team, supporting library services across multiple locations through in‑person and online service points.
Work schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 6:30 am‑6:30 pm (8‑hour day) with occasional evening/weekend support as needed. Campus:
Albuquerque, NM.
- Deliver high‑quality library services at in‑person and online service points, including circulation, reference, and course reserves.
- Monitor daily operations, apply and communicate library policies, and participate in service working groups.
- Coordinate, prioritize, and oversee the work of other staff or student employees when required.
- Update documentation to support procedures and workflow improvements.
- Contribute to creating a welcoming and inclusive library environment.
Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Degree(s) from an accredited institution above the minimum may be substituted for experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with circulation and information services in a library setting, delivered in person, by phone, email, chat, and text.
- Experience with library collections maintenance.
- Experience working independently with building and facilities responsibilities, including safety and security.
- Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office Suite and specialized software (Spring Share, ILS, ILL).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
