Are you an experienced Administrator looking for your next challenge? Due to continued growth, Cygnet has an exciting opportunity for an organised HR Onboarding Assistant to join our central functions team. You will be working full time, 40 hours per week, three days from home and two days within our city centre Birmingham office.
The RoleThis role will include chasing pre‑employment checks for applicants, ensuring all pre‑employment checks meet the CQC criteria, and working closely with our recruitment and HR team to provide an efficient and supportive approach to our central team. You will also assist the management team with the administration of any recruitment/HR functions as needed.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities- Provide a high standard of organisational & administrative support
- Prepare contract and pre‑employment offers
- Keep files & records as required
- Work co‑operatively with all other members of the administration team to ensure the department runs smoothly
- Answer the telephone & respond to all enquiries in a friendly, efficient manner
- Audit pre‑employment and sponsorship items as required; including DBS, references, right to work in the UK and English proficiency documents
- Work in line with Home Office guidelines surrounding sponsorship of employees
- Ensure the relevant documents and systems are kept up to date to accurately reflect the status of the new starter and the outstanding pre‑employment checks and contractual information
- Chase sites for outstanding sponsorship items, and ensure completion of all information as necessary
- Flexible, organised, able to prioritise workloads, solve problems & make decisions
- Calm under pressure & able to work under your own initiative
- A strong written & verbal communicator with an eye for detail & excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Windows & the internet
