The Office of Teaching and Learning (OTL) is dedicated to transforming how we teach, so our students improve how they learn. The OTL cultivates the educational development of all Bridgewater State University faculty through programs, workshops, consultations, and the provision of resources. The position provides essential administrative, operational, and programmatic support for the Office of Teaching and Learning (OTL) at Bridgewater State University (BSU).
Reporting directly to the Director of the OTL, this position plays a key role in supporting faculty development programs, maintaining internal operations, coordinating communications, and ensuring the successful delivery of workshops, events, and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to the mission of supporting excellence in teaching and learning at a diverse public institution. This position is eligible for hybrid/remote work following BSU remote work policy.
Initial assignment only. Subject to change according to institutional needs. Saturday and Sunday as days off. Occasional evening or early morning hours to support special events. This is an AFSCME unit position and is subject to the terms of that union agreement. $2,068.95 bi-weekly (Grade 15 Step
1).
- Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office management, office administration, business administration or business management, the major duties of which included one or more of the following functions: purchasing, personnel management, budgeting, accounting, records management, work simplification, grants management, contract administration or program management.
- (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below:
An Associates or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience. - Commitment to customer service excellence/support to enhance an environment of equity, diversity and inclusion.

- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to gather information through questioning and by examining records and documents.
- Ability to assemble items of information in accordance with established procedures.
