Position: Administrative Specialist 2 Confidential (TCA's Office) Gloucester County

Salary

The salary range for this position is $52,593.71 to $86,166.03 for Schedule A, and $52,593.71 to $81,857.73 for Schedule

B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule

A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule

B.

Remote Work

The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Every applicant should be aware that if selected for this position, you must be prepared to work on-site in Cumberland County (Bridgeton, NJ), Gloucester County (Woodbury, NJ), and Salem County (Salem, NJ).

Travel
  • Travel within the tri-county vicinage will be required.
  • This position may be reassigned to another county within the vicinage.
Responsibilities
  • Draft correspondence, reports, policies, and protocols.
  • Develop professional-level presentations, reports, manuals, guides, audio-visual aids, PowerPoint presentations and other materials as requested.
  • Compile statistical data on workload volume, backlog, expenditures, personnel actions, equipment, or attendance.
  • Provide quality customer service to court users and/or internal customers by answering questions, explaining Judiciary policies and procedures, and resolving issues.
  • Assemble workflow procedures.
  • Recommend improvements in work processes and administrative practices.
  • Advise on deadlines and make recommendations.
  • Provide training and/or cross‑training for co‑workers as needed.
  • Assist staff and provide recommendations with work in progress as needed.
  • Provide back‑up coverage and extensive customer service for the ATCA, Operations staff and Assignment Judge chambers.
  • Assist with planning and implementing projects or special programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Substitution:
    Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year‑for‑year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
