Position Summary Duties

As the Office Operations Associate who additionally supports the WEOP supervisor and staff, this position provides administrative leadership for workshops, meetings, grant reporting, budgeting, and scheduling for multiple WEOP offices. This position is the liaison to regional office associates to ensure consistency and accuracy in WEOP program support. The essential duties performed by this position include but are not limited to:

  • coordination of data collection activity;
  • maintaining databases;
  • preparing and executing mailings and maintaining mailing lists for ongoing projects for state‑funded and federal grant expenditures;
  • coordinating statewide and regional events;
  • and a wide range of complex activities involving the supervisor and staff.

This position exercises independence and latitude for decision‑making, uses critical collaboration with related staff members, possesses strong organization skills and effective communication skills, and provides responsive customer service. The Office Operations Associate works effectively with diverse individuals and groups.

Salary Information

Starting salary will be $20.63 per hour (approximately $42,910 per year). For current and eligible former State employees, compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan effective at time of hire. This position is in pay schedule 02, range 10. A one‑year probationary period will be required.

This position is eligible for a $0.80 per hour night differential for hours worked between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., and a $0.80 per hour weekend differential for hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays. Hours that fall during both periods are eligible for both differentials.

This position offers excellent benefits. The State of Wisconsin is a qualifying employer for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

Job Details Special notes

The typical work schedule will be Monday‑Friday approximately 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Occasional night/week work will be required.

Remote Work

This position allows for up to 60% remote work within the State of Wisconsin, with the expectation that the employee maintains secure, high‑speed internet access. Remote work from neighboring states may be approved only in very rare and limited circumstances. Please note that remote work arrangements will be based on office coverage needs and may be rescinded at any time based on business needs.

Employees may occasionally be required to report to a Wisconsin work location on short notice.
