International Freight Forwarder
In partnership with Jackson Hogg
Jackson Hogg is working in partnership with a well-established international freight forwarding business to recruit a Logistics Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to join a fast-paced logistics environment, with full training provided for candidates looking to move into the sector.
The Role
The Logistics Administrator will support the Freight Desk and wider operations team, ensuring the smooth and accurate administration of logistics and customs-related activities. The role would suit someone highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a busy office environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Logistics Administrator is responsible and accountable for, but not limited to, the following:
* Carrying out core Freight Desk administrative duties, including data entry, document control, and shipment file management
* Supporting customs processes by preparing and checking documentation for import and export entries, ensuring all obligations are met accurately and on time
* Assisting with the coordination of daily freight movements across multiple transport modes, supporting planning, capacity utilisation, and communication with carriers
* Liaising with internal colleagues across the Freight Desk and Customer Support teams to ensure operational visibility and a smooth workflow
* Providing general administrative support to other departments as required
* Supporting other Customer Support team members when own workload allows
Working Hours & Flexibility
* Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
* 1 day working from home per week
Salary
* £27,000 – £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience
About You
* Previous experience within logistics, freight forwarding, customs, or transport administration is desirable but not essential
* Candidates with strong administrative experience from any sector are encouraged to apply
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
* Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
