Job BriefWe’re looking for an organised and proactive Office Assistant to join our team at This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting others, keeping things running smoothly, and contributing to a positive office environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Assist our General Manager with day‑to‑day administrative tasks, including managing the general office email inbox and handling incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Front Desk Liaison: Coordinate with the building’s reception for deliveries, external service providers, and visitor management – including greeting interview candidates and clients.
- Office Maintenance Coordination: Help with booking services for office maintenance (e.g. scheduling a plumber). Over time, this will become one of your independent responsibilities.
- Lunch Ordering: Coordinate lunchtime Deliveroo orders – generate links for team members, place the group order, and share tracking details.
- Supplies & Inventory Management: Monitor and restock office essentials such as stationery, coffee, and bathroom supplies.
- General Manager Holiday Cover: Step in to support daily tasks such as tidying up, loading/unloading the dishwasher, managing basic cleaning duties, taking calls from reception, and placing bi‑monthly coffee pod orders.
- Kitchen Support: Assist with managing kitchen stock levels and receiving deliveries.
- Office Upkeep: Help maintain a clean and organised office environment – including clearing meeting rooms, tidying shared spaces after lunch, and ensuring everything is presentable.
- Building Liaison: Communicate with the building manager regarding any facilities‑related issues (e.g. bathroom or car park concerns). This includes managing access to our reserved spaces in the underground car park.
The above list of duties is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the Office Support team.
Experience / Qualifications / Skills- Experience in a similar position in a medium‑sized business.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
You will need to be able to get to our Guildford‑based office 4 days per week, therefore being local to the area is advantageous.

- Salary range: £14,000 – £16,000 per annum (non pro‑rata).

- Pension contribution – 5% of the salary.
- 28 annual leave days plus all Bank Holidays on a pro‑rata basis each holiday year in England and Wales.
- 10 days working from anywhere in the world on a pro‑rata basis after completing probation.

- Mobile phone bill paid to the value of £80 (subject to BiK taxation).
