Revenue & Billing Assistant, Business Rates (WSP GL Hearn)

Join WSP in the UK & Ireland as a Revenue & Billing Assistant. You will support the Senior Revenue Controller and the wider Business Rates team in delivering accurate, timely and well‑controlled billing across all revenue streams. The role offers exposure across the full revenue cycle, from fee calculation and tracker updates to authorisations, invoice preparation and liaison with fee earners and third‑party agents.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and update billing information, assist with fee calculations and help the team meet monthly targets.
  • Manage purchase orders and third‑party costs, liaise with suppliers and agents to resolve queries and keep records up‑to‑date.
  • Maintain data quality in our systems, ensuring client and billing details are accurate and aligned with agreed arrangements.
  • Follow established processes and controls, provide cross‑team support during busy periods and contribute to improving workflows.
  • Collaborate within the team, cross‑cover tasks and maintain consistent standards across the revenue function.
Qualifications
  • Some experience in an office, finance or administration role, ideally involving numbers or data.
  • Confidence using Excel for everyday tasks (basic formulas, filters and checks); experience with lookups or pivot tables is an advantage.
  • Good general IT skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel, and a willingness to learn new systems such as GLHIMS.
  • Strong organisational skills – able to manage multiple tasks, keep notes up to date and follow through on actions.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work produced.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, comfortable liaising with colleagues across the business and external contacts (e.g. joint agents, suppliers).
  • A proactive, curious approach – willing to ask questions, suggest small improvements and take ownership of your own learning.
  • Interest in finance, accounting or data.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other WSP GL Hearn offices if required.
