Position: Student Services Work Study Assistant - D. Barrett [Work Study]

Overview

Position:
Student Services Admin (Work Study), Part-time within the Office of Student Services. Remote work available up to 25% with balance in the Student Services office.

Start Date:

5/3/2025. End Date: 5/1/2026. Hours per Week: 7-10 hours. Days available – Monday to Friday. Weekends/Evenings not required. Supervisor:
Deb Barrett. Alternate Supervisor:
Daniel Andrews. Department: AUNE Student Services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Student Services and SS department staff, working in collaboration with the New England Director of Student Services.
  • Support student success initiatives through data entry and management of internship postings within the my Career Planner portal.
  • Assist with administrative tasks essential to departmental goals supporting university-wide student success initiatives (mental health, veterans and military-connected programming, updating of SS sites, general administrative support).
  • Answer basic questions regarding all Student Services Departments data management and intra-university Google sites.
  • Maintain web content for various student success departments.
  • Manage competing priorities and pending requests; perform other duties as assigned to support department needs.
  • Provide reception and front-desk presence as needed, including welcoming students, employees, visitors, and callers.
  • Adhere to safety and accessibility requirements; perform routine office duties with Microsoft Office, Google tools, and standard office equipment.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated friendly service attitude to all walk-in, email, and phone traffic.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; organized, detail-oriented; proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Suite.
  • Willingness to support a positive work environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
