Accountant, Tax Accountant, Financial Reporting

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Accountant to manage critical accounting functions across multiple entities. This is a remote position requiring approximately five working days per month, offering flexibility while demanding a high degree of professionalism, accuracy, and accountability.

• Perform end-to-end reconciliation of accounts across multiple companies, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Prepare and file Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns and Value Added Tax (VAT) returns in full compliance with applicable Indian tax regulations and within prescribed deadlines.
• Execute month-end and period-end closing activities including preparation of adjusting entries, accruals, and deferrals to ensure financial statements are accurate and complete at each reporting period.
• Reconcile vendor and customer invoices against bank statements, identify and investigate variances, and maintain a clear and auditable trail of all transactions.

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a closely related function.
• Bachelor s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional certifications (CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Indian GST and VAT regulations and filing procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, Quick Books) and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience managing accounts across multiple legal entities or group companies.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively in a remote working environment.
