Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

The Controller will lead the accounting function with a heavy emphasis on cost accounting and inventory management. This role is central to ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting in a manufacturing environment.

This is a high‑impact position for someone with a deep understanding of inventory, cost flow, and manufacturing accounting, who can both assess how things should be done and implement those practices in a growing organization.

• Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, AR, AP, payroll coordination, and banking
• Own and oversee cost accounting and inventory accounting, ensuring accurate valuation, cost flow, and margin visibility
• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Lead external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Partner closely with operations to understand production, inventory movement, and cost drivers
• Develop and improve standard costing, inventory controls, and variance analysis
• Drive process improvements, automation, and internal controls across accounting workflows
• Support ERP optimization and future system upgrades
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

• Strengthening cost accounting methodology and inventory accuracy
• Improving visibility into product costs, margins, and inventory balances
• Audit readiness and financial controls
• Reducing manual processes through automation
• Supporting system and reporting enhancements
• Enabling growth initiatives through better cost and inventory insight

• CPA preferred
• Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory accounting
• Proven experience managing audits and financial reporting
• ERP experience required
• Advanced Excel skills
• Demonstrated ability to assess existing processes and implement improvements
• Comfortable operating in a growing, evolving manufacturing environment
