Tax Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tax Specialist to review individual, business, nonprofit, estate, trust, and gift tax returns. This role involves assisting with financial planning and regular write-up work for clients, conducting tax research, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The successful candidate will collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality client service and maintain accurate records and documentation for all engagements.

Responsibilities

+ Review individual, business, nonprofit, estate, trust, and gift tax returns.

+ Assist with financial planning and regular write-up work for clients.

+ Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

+ Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality client service.

+ Maintain accurate records and documentation for all engagements.

Essential Skills

+ CPA license or active CPA candidate.

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, with a preference for audit or tax experience.

+ Strong knowledge of tax regulations and accounting principles.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+

Experience with CCH Axcess Tax and CCH Engagement is highly desirable.

+ Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment with flexibility, requiring 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. The role allows for a balance between remote and in-office work, providing a flexible approach to meet business and personal needs.

This is a Permanent position based out of Pikesville, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
