This is an opportunity to join a team of independent accountants in a small firm located in Highland Heights, KY. Commercial Office use available with flexibility of remote work. The Accountant will perform day-to-day tasks such as preparing and examining financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The accountant sought is especially needed for assisting with audits and preparing tax filings, while maintaining accurate and detailed financial records.

This is a firm with a team of independent contract accountants and bookkeepers seeking a qualified accountant for tax expertise and tax filings with government agencies. Each accountant is paid by billable hours upon billing clients and receipt of paid invoice deposited funds. Each accountant who is not a firm partner is a 1099 NEC independent contractor. The firm has existing clients to assign services to the new accountant, as well as accepting new clients, and also supports clients belonging exclusively to its independent accountants.

• Expertise in financial reporting, tax preparation, and tax compliance
• Experience in General Ledger (GL) management and account reconciliation
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Quick Books
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent work experience)
• CPA certification or similar credential is preferred
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and standards
