We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant who shares our passion for client service and has demonstrable expertise in Tax niches. You will work directly with other staff and clients to provide tax services, leveraging your technical expertise to gain client trust. With hybrid staff and clients around the world, you will need to be able to efficiently use modern tools to communicate/collaborate with other staff and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and exempt organizations.
International tax compliance, including the preparation and review of foreign reporting requirements. - Conduct tax research to navigate complex financial profiles and new regulations.
- Reliable point of contact for clients, coworkers, and vendors to ensuring efficient communication for client or internal matters.
- Manage client-bookkeeping in general ledgers, prepare journal entries, financial statements and compile year-end financial statements for book and tax purposes.
- Assist in the efficient administrative running of the business by assisting with accounts receivable, compliance filings, and other emergent tasks.
- Required:
5+ years of recent, hands-on tax experience in a public accounting firm. - Preferred:
Active CPA Designation (California-issued is a plus).Demonstrable an ability to foster and grow client relationships.
Proven experience in niche/complex accounting areas of HNW, business tax, trust & estate tax, international tax, or foreign reporting (FBAR, FACTA, etc.). - Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH, Lacerte) and Quick Books.
- Bachelor's/Masters Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills.
- A detail-oriented and self-driven work ethic able to quickly adapt to emerging events.
- Technologically savvy, excellent in Word/Excel/Outlook, able to quickly learn software.

This role is meant to be flexible. We are open to a variety accounting firm experience, with a demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly. Part-Time or Full-time, Generally 30 hour minimum. (Starting out, full in-person work required, access to hybrid work from home after 30-90 day introductory period) - Competitive Compensation:
