Job Description

A well-known, aggressive CPA firm is ready to add the next leader to the team. This opportunity is part of the firm's plan for growth and the strengthening of both the public tax side of business. They are seeking a Tax Manager to oversee a team of highly motivated staff. The successful Tax Manager will have high ethical standards and make an impact on day one.

Performance Expectations for the Tax Manager:

• Oversee and train a team of highly motivated staff accountants/tax accountants
• Provide tax compliance to a diverse base of clients
• Oversee complex tax projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries
• Maintain strong relationships with clients
• Be a hands-on leader
• Light preparation of returns
• Review of tax returns
• Develop client relationships

Experience/Qualifications for the Tax Manager:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or Equivalent
• Master of Science and Taxation degree (highly desirable)
• CPA Certificate required
• A minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in public accounting.
• Must have the ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
• Must have strong multi-tasking skills
• Must have strong leadership skills
• Must be willing to work >40 hours per week during busy season
• Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation for the Tax Manager:

• Flexible schedule
• 401k w/ match, 4 weeks of PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision, Bonus PTO eligibility earnings, ½ day Summer Friday's
