We’re seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Senior Accountant (remote / US based) to join our dynamic team. This role will support multiple client engagements, ensuring accurate financial reporting, smooth month‑end closes, and best‑in‑class accounting operations tailored to the consumer goods industry.
Key Responsibilities- Support day‑to‑day accounting operations for multiple consumer goods clients across various growth stages.
- Lead and manage the month‑end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
- Review and maintain GAAP‑compliant financials in Quick Books Enterprise and Quick Books Online.
- Oversee and optimize inventory accounting, including COGS, landed costs, and inventory reconciliations, leveraging systems such as Cin7 or similar platforms.
- Ensure accuracy in sales channel reporting (Amazon, Shopify, wholesale, DTC).
- Assist in building and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with clients’ operations and logistics teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting.
- Support external audits, tax filings, and due diligence efforts as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CPA‑track preferred.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the consumer goods, CPG, or retail/e‑commerce sectors.
- Strong proficiency in Quick Books Enterprise and Quick Books Online.
- Experience with inventory management systems such as Cin7, DEAR, or Net Suite Inventory.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, inventory costing, and multi‑channel sales accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client priorities.
- Prior experience in an outsourced accounting or client‑facing environment strongly preferred.
