This Business Advisory Assistant Manager job in Perth with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants is a wonderful opportunity for a part-qualified, newly qualified or recently qualified accountant to join a thriving accounting and business services practice. The firm has an exceptionally broad client base offering interesting and challenging work in a fun environment. As a result of continued growth and several client wins, there now exists an opportunity to join the firm in a mentoring/leadership capacity.

Reporting to Senior Managers and partners, your duties as Assistant Manager will include but not be limited to:

  • Preparing year-end statutory accounts and reconciliations, including corporation tax returns for charities and limited companies.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Visiting clients and being their ‘part-time accountant’, developing and maintaining client working relationships
  • Attending board meetings, preparing and presenting financial reports
  • Producing forecast budgets, variance reports and narrative thereon
  • Preparing personal tax returns and P11

    Ds for company directors
  • Managing, mentoring and supervising more junior staff members

To be successful in this role, it is envisaged that you will have around 3 years' experience of working in another firm of chartered accountants, but looking for a role that offers technical, commercial and professional development. This role is ideal for someone looking for the opportunity to progress to senior manager level and beyond.

As well as possessing a solid grounding in professional practice, it is anticipated that you will be comfortable with MS Office applications (especially Excel) as well as accounting packages such as Xero.
