Role Description

We are seeking a full-time remote Accounting Assistant to support our financial operations. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring effective use of accounting software. This role involves collaborating closely with the finance team to ensure efficient support for our clients in the collision industry.

Responsibilities
  • Import transactions and attachments from the POS system into Quick Books Online
  • Validate, map, and review transactions to ensure proper GL account coding
  • Accurately record and post daily financial transactions
  • Match bank transactions and input expenses correctly
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies
  • Generate, send, and follow up on customer invoices
  • Support senior accounting staff with projects and ongoing tasks
  • Stay current on financial policies, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Review work regularly to ensure accuracy and consistency
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Accounting, Finance, and Bookkeeping
  • Experience with Financial Statements and reporting
  • Proficiency with Accounting Software and related tools
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • Previous experience in the collision industry or similar fields is a plus
